Everything Gabriel Macht Has Been Up To Since The End Of Suits

The beloved courtroom drama Suits ended in 2019, here's what star Gabriel Macht has been working on since.

When it comes to television actors with charisma, Gabriel Macht takes the crown. With a macho demeanor that pierced right through the screens, Harvey Specter on Suits embodied confidence like never seen before. He rose to the top of corporate law as the right-hand man to Jessica Pearson (Gina Torres). Harvey’s rivalry with long-time foe Louis Litt (Rick Hoffman) was one for the books and the fuel that kept the series going for nine seasons.

Created by Aaron Korsh, Suits quickly became a fan favorite, birthing stars like the Duchess of Sussex, Meghan Markle, who played the role of the paralegal Rachel Zane. During its time on air, Suits received several awards and nominations, including a Screen Actors Guild Award. The series ended in September 2019 and birthed a spin-off called Pearson. Here’s what Gabriel Macht has been doing since.

Gabriel Macht has been missing in action since the wrap of Suits in 2019. The star spent eight years on the show, but has not appeared in any Hollywood productions since its final episode. Instead, Macht has been prioritizing his relationship with his wife, Jacinda Barrett.

The actor has also been conservative in his social media interactions, posting less than ten times throughout all of 2022, with the most recent Instagram photo being a throwback he published on December 10, 2022, to promote giving to charity.

A little less than a month after Macht wrapped up Suits, he shared a photo that he took with his newly married brother, Jesse Macht, who is a musician. Jesse got married to Lindsay Wolf in the last quarter of 2019. “ The weekend was smooth sailing.” Macht wrote, also mentioning that it was as smooth as an Ari Macht throw. Jesse Macht’s wedding was a ranch affair that had Gabriel smiling from ear to ear.

In October 2019, Macht explored the Scottish Highlands. He shared pictures of his visit, accompanying them with a description by his wife, Jacinda Barrett: "Gliding past castles, lochs and stone ruins, we’re on our way to ‘the little bay’ in Scottish Gaelic. Chopped trees in bundles and rotting wood fences descend to pools of water, shimmering silver. All of it blurs beyond my window as if signaling our transience."

He continued, "Beyond is a harbor with a large cruise ship and houses lining the inlet, and even further in the deepest distance is the ever-present moss on ancient rocks, the bundles of purple heather and the wind curled Scottish pines that carpet the mountains. The land is theirs. I want to sit and stare out the window at them, undisturbed, for as long as I can but children call me back."

December 2019 marked the milestone of 15 years since Macht had been married to Jacinda Barrett, and 19 years since they first got together. Barrett, an actress, has appeared in films such as The Last Kiss, The Human Stain, and Ladder 49.

On television, she made her debut on The Real World: London, and has since appeared on shows like Millenium and Bloodline. Barrett also played Harvey Specter’s love interest, Zoey, in Suits.

Gabriel Macht has an eye for good art, and one of the works he loves is that of Susan Mitnick. Susan doubles as an interior designer who makes residential and corporate spaces look beautiful. Her works have been featured in several publications including The New York Times, Dwell Magazine, Mid-Century Home, and California Home and Design.

On the 22nd of January 2023, Macht turned 51. A few years ago, in celebration of this special day, the actor had a message to share with his followers. He touched on parenting, citing that he wanted his children to not be misguided.

Macht further mentioned that our planet is beautiful, but there is a need to have a few things fixed. He advocated for meatless Mondays, where he urged his audience to take one day per week off meat.

Now we all know that Macht loves himself some Lady Gaga. This he revealed when he attended a Lady Gaga concert in February 2020. “Saw her the other night talking to Oprah Winfrey and was awed by her ability to risk much of herself sharing all her vulnerabilities, challenges, and views on mental health.” Macht wrote. Now we all know that Macht loves himself some Lady Gaga. The COVID-19 pandemic nearly brought the world to a stop in 2020. However, frontline workers risked their lives to ensure that those who were sick got the care they needed. In support of those unsung heroes, Macht showed support for Dine 11, a not-for-profit organization based in Los Angeles, California, and aimed at delivering meals to frontline workers.

When Macht was not advocating for social distancing and urging his followers to keep the quarantine culture alive, he was sporting a quarantine beard and shooting a no-so-Harvey-like pilot with his co-producer, Jacinda Barrett. In a video, Macht was seen sharing his inner "VSCO girl," and captioning the video with his own tag, VSCO boy, all while dressed in pink.

The Macht family is an acting family. Gabriel's dad, Stephen Macht, made an appearance on Suits as Professor Henry Gerard. On his dad's 78th birthday, Gabriel shared a photo of his dad, and wrote: “Grateful that my father’s excitement, warmth, and passion for life is as balanced as his concern for the future.”

Gabriel also supported his father’s Masterclass, telling his audience that he has a Ph.D. in Hollywood.

Gabriel Macht is one of those celebrities who prefer to steer away from the media, if his little- to no-interviews are anything to go by. Once in a while, he graces a magazine or podcast to simply spread some good vibrations. In September 2020, he was on the cover of Mr. Feelgood, a digital magazine that covers lifestyle and life itself.
